CalBEM Spring Cross-Pollination Meeting Series
May 7 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am PDT
This spring, the CalBEM Working Group Co-Chairs are hosting two cross-pollination meetings covering topics that are relevant to all Working Groups. The second meeting will focus on building energy modeling (BEM) accuracy including the differences between compliance-based and performance-based building energy modeling (BEM). This session will highlight presentations from policy and practice: we’ll hear a perspective from the CEC, and a real-world case study where modeled compliance outcomes were compared to building performance models, revealing valuable insights into where and why these models diverge. We’ll also explore findings from a recent CalBEM project that identifies key areas for improvement in compliance modeling methodologies.
