WG2 Co-Chairs will lead a panel discussion exploring how compliance energy models can influence design decisions & how models are used in business workflow. \nPanelists: to be announced \nThe panel will focus on and build upon the following two ideas that were discussed during the WG2 Spring Brainstorm Meeting: \nHow to influence design with compliance models \n\nDevelop content for the CalBEM Resource Hub to help energy modelers identify approaches to using a compliance model to add value in the design process.\nDevelop a list of analyses that might be appropriate at different stages of design.\nPotentially also address using a compliance model to support decarbonization or energy efficiency measures during value engineering.\n\nPotential to use pre-run prototype compliance models for small buildings \n\nDevelop guidance on the impact of energy efficiency measures for small building projects based on parametric analyses. This information will support energy modelers of small projects\, where budgets might not support comprehensive modeling studies\, and help them to prioritize design strategies that have a significant impact on compliance results.
